A Life in the Enetrtaiment Industry

Mark Atteberry has been active in the Entertainment Industry practically since birth. He had his first taste of success as a musician playing trombone, bass and keyboards. Mark has played and toured with a wide variety of musical greats including Count Basie, Rich Matteson, Herb Albert, The Pacific Symphony, Susanna Hoffs, Nancy Boy and many, many more.

After a chance meeting with Danny Glover, Mark made the horizintal switch to acting. Since then he has acted in countless plays, commercials, TV shows and feature films. His feature film work ranges from indies like "The Real Thing” starring Jeremy Piven to blockbusters like "The Hulk" directed by Ang Lee. As a television actor Mark has been seen several hit shows including "The Shield," "24," "Nip/Tuck," "The Closer," "Dexter" and in the upcoming CBS pilot, "The Eastmans" starring Donald Sutherland and Jacqueline Bisset. In 2008 Mark received his first "Best Actor" nomination at the 168 Film Festival in Los Angeles for his work in the award winning "Stained." Currently Mark can be seen in the critically acclaimed, "Butterfly Circus," starring Eduardo Verástegui (Bella), Doug Jones (Pans Labarynth) and Nick Vujicic.

Outside of acting Mark is an award winning Entertainment Industry photographer. He is widely known for his commercial advertising, publicity and headshot photography. As such, Mark has shot some of the biggest names in the business. His clients include NBC, CBS, A&E, CAA, ICM, WME, Venice Magazine and Big Lots, to name just a few. Mark was recently chosen as one of the "Three Best Photographers in Los Angeles" by CSA and one of the "Top 10 Photographers" by BackStage West magazine.

Mark also teaches classes and has lectured internationally on the topics of "Branding and Type" and "How to Succeed in the Entertainment Industry." Mark has authored or co-authored several books on the subject including "The Working Actor's Guide," the top selling reference book on acting for over sixteen years, "The Parent's Guide" and "The Stunt Guide."

Though Mark has had notable success in the Entertainment Industry, what he secretly wants to do is open a little bistro in the Northern California Wine Country... but don't we all.
